About the project
Studio Focus is a boutique photography and filmmaking collective dedicated to capturing stories through a cinematic lens. The objective of this project was to redesign their brand identity and digital portfolio to better communicate the studio’s artistic vision and contemporary aesthetic. The new direction aimed to merge elegance, emotion, and usability, giving the brand a timeless yet modern feel across every visual touchpoint.
Problems
Before the redesign, Studio Focus’s online presence felt outdated and lacked emotional resonance with its target audience. Their website relied on static galleries that failed to express the depth and artistry of their work. Brand visuals were inconsistent—ranging from overly bright imagery to mismatched typography—resulting in a fragmented identity. Additionally, their site performance was slow, particularly on mobile devices, which affected engagement and lead conversions from potential clients.
Solutions
The redesign introduced a refined brand system that emphasized balance, negative space, and emotion-driven storytelling. A dark, cinematic visual palette was adopted to enhance contrast and focus attention on the imagery. The website was rebuilt with a custom gallery system optimized for speed and visual fluidity, featuring smooth transitions and immersive project narratives. Consistent typography and a unified tone across all communication channels strengthened brand recognition. The result was a cohesive visual identity and a digital experience that reflected the sophistication and creative spirit of Studio Focus.
